image of a Blue Ridge mountain trailHave you had an experience like this? You are hiking up a steep trail to a mountain ridge with a gorgeous view. As you gain elevation foot by foot, the trail gets trickier. Each step requires you to dig deeper for strength, breath and perseverance. If you’re like me, you might have felt a little resentful of the trail. “Who’s idea was this anyway? What the heck was I thinking?”
But, really, you wanted to get to that vista. You didn’t want to turn back. Besides, your friends were with you, and you wanted to get there together.

Well, Tracy, John and I have reached a summit of sorts in our journey together. And the view is pretty exciting! After years of discovery, development and experimentation, we are launching our new CircleForward.us website and on-line resources!

Circle Forward free videos and resources for collaborative governance

Just in the nick of time, I’d say!

In the aftermath of the elections in the US and Brexit in the UK, many people are looking for a better way forward. The current political and economic systems simply are not generating well-being, prosperity, or security for the vast majority of us. We want real change.

At Circle Forward, we feel so proud knowing that the tools and services we produce reflect our mission to address the systemic crises of our age. We believe in the power of self-governance to leverage systems change at the deepest levels. The path forward is under our feet.

Since the three of us met at a dynamic governance/sociocracy training in Asheville back in (OMG-was-it-really?) 2011, we’ve expanded the Primary Principles for consent-based governance. Our clients need governance frameworks that match the complexity of the networks and networked organizations they work within. They are challenged to include a diversity of voices in decision-making, while remaining open and adaptive to complex, changing conditions.

We’ve also refined our Collaborative Decision-making Package, with great new online materials and “on-the-job training” in your own meetings. Together, your team can learn and practice the principle of Consent for making decisions, move beyond the options of majority rule or consensus, and away from decision-making that creates winners and losers.

Thank you for joining us on this journey! We’ve grown our own network in the past two years throughout the U.S. and into Canada, Europe, India and even Korea — all of us committed to changing the dynamics of power and creating prosperity for all. While we’re thrilled to have reached this summit, the trail continues forward.

Onward!
